  • We prepare annual accounts, with full interpretation of the results, and if required, we will attend Board Meetings and present accounts to shareholders.
  • We are Statutory Auditors and can carry out audit work for Limited Companies under the Companies Act 2006, Registered Charities, Friendly Societies and Industrial and Provident Societies.

  • We also provide fixed-price quotes for the work to be done, within an agreed timetable – so there are no unexpected bills or unwanted delays.
  • We often make a significant contribution to improving our clients’ internal procedures – book-keeping, management reports, accounts coding structures and so on.
Frequently Asked Questions

What can I do to minimise your time and costs on accounts preparation?

Carry out your bookkeeping regularly through the year and reconcile the business bank account and end of year VAT balance.

Do you offer a fixed quote for my accounts preparation?

Yes subject to caveats regarding standard of record keeping.

What should I include in debtors and creditors?

Bills dated prior to the year end that you do not pay for until post year end are creditors.
So are any estimates of amounts you know will have to be pay post year end which relate to transactions during the accounting year.

Sales invoices raised by your business prior to the year end which the customers do not pay until after the year end are debtors.

How long will I have to wait for my first copy of draft accounts?

Depending on the complexity of the business our target is to send out the first drafts within one month of receipt of the accounting records.

I have heard my business can change its year end.
Why would I want to do this?

If you are a limited company then this issue is likely to be of less concern but even then it may be useful to look at this issue if profits are fluctuating.
If you are self employed then the date you choose or have chosen to start or end your business and for its regular accounting year end can make an important difference to the tax position.
This is a complicated area which are happy to discuss focussing on how it will affect your specific circumstances.
